What are some good things to do and see in Mexico: Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta?

We are cruising on Royal Caribbean Vision of the Seas, December 08. We're mom, dad, and 19 yr old daughter. We tend to like outdoor activities ... not so into shopping, but daughter may want to do a little. Nature, culture, and ancient ruins would be of interest too.

Any first hand recommendations of things/places to do ... or to avoid? Good places to book through?

We'll be in Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. Anyone know how easy it is to get around once in port?

One activity that looks like a lot of fun is the Outdoor Adventure in PV, it's a boat ride, then jeep, then burro ride to area where you then zip line, rapel water falls, etc. Has anyone done this? If we do this, it's the only activity we'd have time for ... is it worth the time/cost?

It looks like it's possible to take a public water taxi to stone island, but also lots of tours ... is it best to do a tour, or on your own? Once at Stone Island, how busy/crowded is it? Is it a worthwhile place to spend some time?

We're also considering snorkeling, parasailing in Cabo. Maybe horseback riding in Mazatlan. Would like to find some onshore excursions and activities that are further from crowds.

Would especially like to hear from anyone with first hand experience of fun excursions, activities, and/or places to go/see!
Thanks for any info or advice you can provide!

Answer :
Great choice. Those are some of the most beautiful beaches to visit. The burro ride.. not so much. Although it could be fun, and it's ddefinitelya new experience.
I would ddefiantly recommend snorkeling, it's a lot of fun. Horseback riding also seems like a good idea.
What tipe of shopping? Souvenirs are everywhere, so you'll have no problem.
I recommend trying restaurants outside the hotel so that you can experience the food. Careful on not eating on the street; if you're not mexican you'll probably won't have the stomach for it.
You can easily get around the cities in taxis. They're not very expensive ando much more comfortable and safe than a bus. Just be careful, make sure it looks safe.
Have fun.!

Answer :
when you get to Puerto Vallarta be careful and avoid all of offer about travels in boots or something like this, because they say that its are so funny and they only want to get your money and the travel is too poor... Be careful
