Royal Caribbean?

has anyone been on it? im going on the visions of the sea at the end of this month. tell me if it was fun please. also im a teen and heard they have a teen club, should i go to it or not? would it be fun and would it be easy to meet other kids my age? thanks for your help and tell me as much information as you can. THANK YOU

Answer :
I have not been on the Vision of the Seas, but I have been on one of its sister ships which is basically identical, the Splendour of the Seas. You can look at the features of the Vision class ships on this link: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruis…

The vision is one of Royal Caribbean's older ships and thus does not have all of the features of its newer ships. But it does have the rock climbing wall, a mini-golf course, multiple pools and hot tubs, and the Adventure Ocean area that includes the Teen Disco. The disco area is open until 2:00AM each evening and you will be free to hang out there whenever you want.

You will have a great time on the cruise.

Answer :
You will have a blast, experience everything. You will be around many kids your age, with tons of activities as well as areas you can move in and out of.
You will be sad when it is over, because you did not get to do everything for as long or as often as you wanted to, there is that much to do.

Answer :
Yeah Im a teen too and I went to the teen club. Its fun..kinda small though. I would do the activites they have, those are the best things. Its not hard to meet other kids because everyone is trying to meet other people like you...no one wants to spend the entire vacation with thier parents! Cruises are always fun with all the activites you never get bored! Have fun!

Answer :
Almost everyone is scared that they will head off on their cruise vacation and end up not meeting anyone. Imagine spending the entire week hanging out either by yourself, with your parents, or with that annoying little bro that's more concerned with hitting the buffet than hitting the disco. Sounds like a nightmare, huh? I know that everyone cruise I've ever been on, I've been through the exact same thing, and ya know what else? It's never happened!

I'm not exactly the most outgoing person in the world, so it's weird for me to just walk up and start talking to someone that I don't even know. Some people can do that, which is great!, but if you aren't one of those people (or even if you are!) here a couple tips for hooking up with other teens on board.

Check out the Teen Activities - You might not know it, but most major cruise lines have activities and activity schedules just for teenagers. They vary, from dances in the disco to limbo contests to ping pong tournaments. These activities are fun because you get the chance to meet and hang out with other teens. I admit - sometimes the stuff they plan is kinda lame, but if nothing else it'll be good for a laugh! (Bonus: Your parents and annoying little sibs can't come to these, no matter what!)Teen Mingling on Carnival's Triumph

by Lauren Johnson

I recently sailed on the Carnival Triumph, a cruise that I had been eagerly awaiting for almost six months.
I bought a ton of new clothes, and made a packing list two months in advance so that I wouldn't forget anything. It worked: I didn't forget anything, but then I also brought practically my entire room with me! I was only going with my parents, and I was really worried that I wouldn't meet anyone to hang out with for the week. Here is my day-by-day account of that cruise--from the teen perspective, of course--complete with a selection of photos that you can click into.

DAY 1

Our flight arrived at Miami Airport around 10 a.m., and at 10:30 we were told we couldn't get a bus to the ship until noon. My parents and I sat around in a little restaurant until it was time to get to the ship! We got a bus to the pier, and saw the Triumph for the first time at around 12:30. I was so excited I could hardly stand it!
Article continues below

We saw a TON of people waiting to check in. But we had a Category 11 room, so we got Skipper's Club treatment--meaning you get to walk past everyone in line, practically straight onto the ship. It took us about 15 minutes to board, while it took others an hour and a half or more!

I walked around the ship for awhile, but I already knew how to get around since I had been on the Carnival Destiny, which has the same layout as the Triumph. After an hour, I got really bored, and worried that I wouldn't meet anyone for the rest of the cruise! I found my parents and ended up eating and going on a spa tour with them. After that, we proceeded to the lifeboat drill.

After the drill, I went up onto the Lido Deck with my parents to watch the ship sail away from Miami. The Imagination and Explorer of the Seas were also leaving at the same time.

As we were waving goodbye to Miami, I saw two girls, Victoria and Diane, whom I had talked to on the bus ride to the pier. They came over with their parents to where I was standing, and I started talking to them. I found out that they only live about 20 minutes away from me! Once we got out to sea, I ended up walking around with them.

We explored the ship for awhile, and as we were cutting through the South Beach Club Buffet, we saw three guys, so we walked over and started talking to them. Their names were Dusty, Micah, and Eric. All of a sudden, I was feeling a lot better about the cruise - I met five people in less than two hours!

Our first dinner was coming up, and I got my luggage just in time to change into a nice outfit. My luck was still holding: Sitting at our table were three other teenagers--Rachel, Adam, and Scott. They all turned out to be really cool, and I was glad that I got such a good table.

After dinner, I went to the disco with the people I had met earlier in the day. There were so many teenagers there--it was great!

At 11 p.m., we left the disco and went to the hot tubs, where we stayed until they were completely drained. After that, myself, four other girls and the three guys went down to the guys' cabin and just talked and hung out. I went back to my cabin around 1 a.m.

DAY 2

I got up and laid out in the sun for 2-1/2 hours with my parents. Then I met up with Victoria and Diane, and we found the three guys.

We all went down the waterslide, swam, and got some lunch. I went off with the girls for a while. We got milkshakes from the Cafe, and they were great! We were addicted the second we started drinking them, so we got at least one or two every day after that! On the elevators, we met a really cute guy named Brandon. He was on his way to formal dinner in his suit, and we were just chillin' in our bathing suits, so we felt very under-dressed!

That night, there was a teen disco hour on the Lido Deck stage. There weren't

many people dancing. I am not the greatest dancer, so I didn't join in. I went with Diane to talk to a guy we saw, named Tom. Diane had a thing for him for a little while! We walked around and ran into Brandon on deck. He talked to us, even though we didn't think he would after seeing us looking all nasty in the elevator! After that, I went to the Midnight Comedian with Victoria, Diane, and Tom. It was hilarious, but definitely not for little kids! Again, I turned in around 1 a.m.

DAY 3

Snorkel Girls

We're in Cozumel, Mexico! We went on the Nassau Sun boat, and Victoria and Diane ended up being on our same tour.

We snorkeled off the boat for awhile, and I laughed to think how at that very moment, all my friends were in school taking their final exams! Our school ran really late this year.

Me and my mom snorkleing

We got back on the boat and headed to the beach. As we were going, waiters kept coming up to us girls and asking "Would you like a beer, or a margarita?" It was pretty funny, since our parents were standing there, giving us the "Take it and you're dead" look.

We got to the private beach, and there were rafts, volleyball nets, tables and umbrellas, and a really cute little bar/hut all set up.

Cozumel Beach
Click for Pic
The beach was absolutely gorgeous! We ended up playing volleyball with a bunch of people, and some of them were really cute guys! It was fun, except for the fact that I'm terrible at volleyball! By the end of the game, I was just standing around. Everyone knew that if the ball came near me I wouldn't hit it, so whoever was next to me took over!

It was time to head back, so we got back onto the Nassau Sun. The ride back to port was a lot more fun than the ride out: Music was playing and we were dancing all over the decks. A conga line started, and when we did the Macarena, a woman we didn't even know came over and took our picture!

Carlos 'n Charlie's
Click for Pic
My parents and Victoria and Diane's parents got along really well, so we ended up getting cleaned up and going into Cozumel with them. We ate lunch at Carlos 'n Charlie's, which was very interesting--It was only 3:00 in the afternoon, and there were already people dancing on the tables. The waiters loved us.

After we finished our lunches, a waiter came over and said I had to come dance with him. I said I wouldn't unless Diane came, so he had another waiter dance with her! Victoria thought she was safe, but she was wrong--a third waiter grabbed her, and he was doing some pretty freaky dance moves! It was hilarious.

Afterwards, we shopped around Cozumel for a while and went back to the ship around 6 p.m. It was so hot we couldn't stand to walk around any more! When we got back on the ship, it was practically empty, and there were no activities going on. So we ended up going into the Rome Lounge and dancing around on stage, since a guy was in the booth working on his light set. That got old really fast, though. We were sitting in the seats and I was so bored I took a picture of our feet!

Crafton, Lauren, Diane, and Tom
Click for Pic
The three of us walked around the ship and did absolutely nothing until about 11:30 p.m., when everyone had to be back on board. We went to the disco for a little while, but I didn't really want to dance. Diane and I and a couple of the guys--Crafton and Tom--ended up going to the Lido Deck at the very back of the ship and just talking for a couple of hours.

DAY 4

This was our second day at sea. I slept in kinda late, and got breakfast/lunch with Victoria and Diane. They had to meet their parents, so I went up on deck and laid out with Brandon. Victoria and Diane came up later and we all laid out in the sun some more. (Why didn't I get tan? That's what I'm wondering!) We decided to get something to drink and we ran into all the guys we had played volleyball with in Cozumel.

We talked to them for a bit, and then went to watch the Marriage Show. It was really cute--the guys had to go up on stage and sing love songs to their wives. The three of us went to get milkshakes, and then it was time for dinner.

The Past Carnival Cruisers party was that night, so I had to go with my parents. It was kinda boring, but the three guys we were hanging out with showed up there, so I talked to them until dinner. At dinner that night, we had our first conga line of the week! Of course, I had to join in on the fun.

Answer :
When I was that age, I found them to be cool. I mean I went the first few nights, met some people, and then every night we would all meet in there, instead of trying to gather everyone up around a certain place, so we all just hung out around the ship and did our own thing. Mostly we just got to know each other, and we did some fun things. Some of the people in the group ended up hanging out by themselves and hooking up by the end of the cruise... It was really fun, but after a while they can be lame, but they usually try to stay up to date with what the teens like to do and what not.

Answer :
For one you need to be careful as a lot of stuff can happen on a cruise and they companys that run the cruise ships usually try to cover it up. If by with him you mean sex then no especially with someone you just meet. You should just be yourself and be careful.

Cruise LA to Mexico?

Has anyone travelled on Vision of the Sea to Mexico. Is it worth it?

Answer :
We cruised out of LA to the Mexico ports of Cabo, Puerto Valarta, and Acapulco a couple years ago. It was a good cruise weather wise even though they had to cancel one port stop because of a hurricane threat. I liked the stop in Cabo best, didn't care for the other two. I think the beaches on the Caribbean side of Mexico are much better than the Pacific side.

WE went on an NCL ship and the cruise was nice.

Answer :
i been on that cruise last year i love it . people were very nice there and i love stops we did and the entertained to . it was the best cruise. i was name gust staff on there. it was great the food and stuff to do

Answer :
I did a week long cruise for my honeymoon. I liked it a lot. But then again, this was my first cruise too. But I think if my husband and I go again were going to go with all of our friends. Spending the time alone was great but we both agree that a cruise would be great with all of our friends.

Answer :
I've heard such good things that I'm booked on her for 10/28/07 Halloween cruise!

A few thoughts:
The Vision has been recently refurbished.
(Year Built 1998
Refurbished 2000
Refurbished 2003)
The price is really good.
The ocean is colder and choppier than the Caribbean (re: swimming)

Have fun!

Is there alot of teens hooking up at teens club on cruises?

im going on royal caribbean vision of the seas in about 2 weeks and im going to go to the teen club. im wondering if some guy asks me to be his gf, should i? also is it easy to meet kids near my age? im 14. im so excited for this trip! people say just go for it and it would be alot of fun. i think i will, but whats your opinion?
also is anybody else going on the ship as me on july 27? if you are maybe we can hang out and meet each other at the teen club.

thanks alot

Answer :
Hey.
Im 19 & I find that the teen clubs arent too popular. Its more like you just randomly meet people around the ship.

I was on two cruises. One last year.. I went on spring break to the bahamas and there were TONS of kids. I had random guys talking to me and one father of some kid was trying to hook me up with his son. BUT then I went to puerto rico early may and there were NO kids.

;] luckily for you though, your going in the summer so they'llbe plenty of kids and you'll have an amazing time. Idk about being a guys gf though, you'll never see them again and then its just a hookup and thats not really a good idea. But its up to you. Just be safe and enjoy your trip <33

Any other questions, let me know.

Answer :
holy crap u know whats so weird im 14 too and im going on a cruise in like a week and i was wondering the same stuff i swear!! i like just asked question about this too! omg omg haha. i want to go to the teen club and meet some ppl to hang with and a guy too! haha but it might be akward if i just walk into the teen lounge place all by myself lol. u can email me if u want! i think thats so cool how we were wonderin he same thing lol!

Should i stop talking to him?!?!?!?

My mom and i went on this cruise, vision of the seas to be exact. There was this assistant waitor and we were flirting non-stop.. I saw him 3 times everyday. He is also 13 years older than i am. I really like this guy but he is from India and im not sure if he has an arranged marriage already. After we left the cruise i gave him my email and within the next 3-4 days he emailed me back. He is sending me mixed signals. I dont know if he likes me like that or just as his email buddy. We've been emailng ever since and its been like a month. I dont know if i should stop talking to him. Its just he is 13 years older than i am and he's from india. I reallly like him!! It just feels kinda weird sometimes talking to a guy thats 13 yrs older than u are. please help me.........

Answer :
It does not sound like this relationship will make it very far. There isn't any harm in being pen-pals through email. But I think you have a better chance of finding love in the real world.

I would say continue talking to him if you want to, but don't hold back on any other guys. Keep dating if you find someone you enjoy being with. Maybe after a while things will progress with your Indian friend instead.

I suggest to take it easy and see where life takes you.

For now, don't give you friend too much personal information. It IS kind of suspicious that a man thirteen years older than you, who was serving on your cruise, is interested in you romantically. Be careful!

Answer :
It really depends how old YOU are...

If you're a minor, then I suggest you stop talking to him, especially if he's saying inappropriate things to you.

If you're an adult, then it's really up to your best judgement. If you think there's potential and you want to go through with it, then keep talking to him. But if you think there's nothing in your future with him, then you can phase him out. Talk to him less and less until you stop all together.

This whole situation seems a bit creepy, though, from my point of view. e_e

Answer :
well how old are you? cuz if you are younger then 17 then that would be a little werid... but even so.. if the relationship isnt going to go anywhere.. its time to move on to someone closer and better for you. If this guy lives in india and doesnt plan on moviing... then its not worth the effort to keep talking to him like something is going to come out of it.. you dont have to stop talking to him.. but dont just stick with him. Find someone better

Answer :
My Grandparents are 13 yrs apart and the most inlove couple I have EVER seen. they are soooo super cute together. One, though: how old are you? If you are under 18.... this could be kinda bad. You could always just ask him how he feels about you, though. e-mail is a lot easier to do that sort of stuff in than in person.

Answer :
AGE IS NOTHING BUT A NUMBER, BUT THE THING YOU HAVE TO WATCH WITH FROM PEOPLE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES, IF HE'S NOT FROM THE US IS THAT HE MIGHT TRY TO MARRY YOU TO BE A US CITIZEN. IM NOT REALLY SURE? BUT JUST AN IDEA! MY FIANCE IS 10 YEARS OLDER AND I DONT EVEN LOOK AT IT THAT WAY, SOMETIMES I THINK HE'S MY AGE BY HOW HE ACTS.

Answer :
if he is 13 years older than you and you went with your MOM?! you've got to be like, in your teens or something. he just wants to bone you.. and is a pedophile. don't pursue that, that's crazy. and gross.

Answer :
I dont think you should stop talking to him. but i do think that you should only talk to him as friends. i know you like him, but he is 13 yrs older than you.

Answer :
if your over 18 then try it and sees what happens. if your uncomfortable about it ask him several questions like, would like 2 to married, or something to that extent.

Answer :
A long distance relationship usually doesn't work but if you really like this guy and if you are not underage then see where it goes. You never know!!!!

Answer :
that so isnt' going anywhere. really I think you should find someone your own age that at least lives in the same country as you. He could be using you for immigration purposes you never know.....

Cruises-staterooms?

We have been on 3 cruises. We have been on two Royal Caribbean and 1 Holland America. On the 1st RC we just had 1 room for all four of us and that was just way too cramped. The 2nd RC we had 2 rooms, and that was a lot better, but it was still kinda annoying. On the Holland America one, we had adjoining rooms, and that was really nice. We like Royal Caribbean a lot better though. We might be going on the Vision of the Seas this summer-do they have adjoining rooms? We have been on Enchantment of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, and then Holland America's Maasdam.

Answer :
Yes they definitely do have adjoining cabins. Book early to reserve them because those cabins usually sell out first.

Answer :
Every ship as adjoining cabins. There is a limited number in each catagory. So the sooner you book the better your chances of reserving one.
Ask you travel agent to find adjoining cabins and it is as easy as that!

Need cruise tips/advice please!?

I'm going on a cruise of the Mexican Riviera in Jan. Port stops are Cabo, Puerta Vallarta, and Mazatlan. The ship is the Vision of the Seas with R.C. Anyone been on this ship or to any of these towns? What are some cool things to do/see? I'm particularly interested in wildlife. Any general advice on cruising would be great as well! It's my first time!

Answer :
I have been on that very same cruise on that exact ship. My husband and I went on it for our honeymoon a couple years ago. Actually, we are 'loyal to Royal' and have cruise with them several times. My favorite ship so far in their fleet...Navigator of the Seas. (I've yet to sail on Freedom.)

First things first. You've asked about tips. Royal asks the following:

Suite attendant: $5.75 USD a day per guest
Stateroom attendant: $3.50 USD a day per guest
Dining Room Waiter: $3.50 USD a day per guest
Assistant Waiter: $2.00 USD a day per guest
Headwaiter: $.75 USD a day per guest

It adds up to about $70 total per person, and believe me, it's worth it. You can charge your tips to your seapass card and royal gives little vouchers and envelopes for you to give to your crew. You can always add a little cash to those you feel deserve more. We typically add another $20 to our stateroom attendant and sometimes waiters because they work so dang hard.

As for your stops, it's a great vacation all around. Cabo was my favorite stop because it's a small town and the water is so crystal clear. We went ocean kayaking there and it was the best thing we did on the entire trip. I highly recommend it.

Mazatlan is a big city. Around half a million people if I remember correctly. Take your time here to head up to the mountains and see some wildlife. You won't miss a lot here, IMHO, if you skip the city. We did a tour of the small villages around the mountains of Mazatlan.

In Puerto Vallarta, the most hilarious this about this stop is right next to the dock is a Walmart! We all got a chuckle out of that! Here, we did a tour of a tequila distillery, which was interesting. We also spent some time exploring on our own and had dinner at Senor Frogs. This is a good chance to eat out because you'll be there until about 11:00 at night.

Cruising is so much fun I can hardly begin to describe it to you! A couple of my suggestions:

* Pack a highlighter in your luggage. Royal gives you a 'Cruise Compass' which is like a little newspaper everyday that tells you what events are happening when and where. Highlight those you want to check out so you don't forget them. Don't try to do everything because you won't and you'll only wear yourself out.

* If you bunking in an inner cabin with no port, take a nightlight. Those cabins are VERY dark! We didn't expect it on our first cruise either! I couldn't even see my hubby to kiss him goodnight! We ended up leaving the bathroom door ajar with the light on.

* Take a small travel alarm clock. In those inner cabins, it's incredibly easy to sleep until noon with no sunshine coming in your room!

* If you want to take advantage of the ships spa, book your appointments during shore excursions. They always have good deals (like 1/2 off!) while everyone is at shore.

* A lot of shore excursions are very popular. If there's one you have your eye on, book it as soon as you can before it fills up. You can even book them online ahead of time, but I rarely find that necessary.

* For your first day of cruising, take a small carryon suit case and pack with it a change of clothes, a swimsuit, any medication you need, and anything you think you may need immediately on the ship. It takes several hours for the porters to get your luggage to your cabin. Remember, they've got thousands of pieces of luggage to sort out in a short time.

* Royal sells a $6/day soda pass. I've never thought it was worth it. There's always tea, lemonade, water and punch in the Windjammer. $6 a day turns to $50 a week and that just seems like a lot of money to me for pop! I'd rather drink a pina colada anyway.

* Always, always, always have your seapass card with you. It's your room key, your credit card, and you idtification while onboard the ship. With this you will need nothing else.

* There will be food, all the time. If you don't want to pack on too many extra pounds along the way, the easiest exercise is TAKE THE STAIRS!! You'll burn so many more calories this way, you'll see all the artwork at each deck, and you won't be standing around waiting in the always present lines for the elevators!

If you have anymore questions, feel free to contact me. I'd be happy to extend any more advice. Most of all, have fun! You're going to have an amazing time, believe me! Take plenty of film and batteries for that camera too!

Answer :
I have never been there, but when you are on the ship, wash your hands ALOT!
One time, I got sick, and it was REALLY bad.

Answer :
I just went on this cruise in October 2006 and I must say was the best cruise I have had yet... Service was excellent, staff was friendly as can be and lots to do on board.
Best port for excursion was in Cabo San Lucas - Do the Jeep Safari tour you will see some of the baja dessert some wildlife as well.
Mazatlan - I was unable to leave the ship was ill
Puerto Vallarta - Awesome place - Lots of beautiful scenery
While in route look for dolphins in the path of the ship that was the coolest thing seeing them jumping in and out of the waves of the ship.

Answer :
I have been to all three cities. In Cabo there are great tours that are offered at the pier where they take you to see the coastline, sea lions, pelican rock, and the tropical fish. Try the Glass Bottom boats. You can buy the same tour on the ship, but you pay twice as much.

Puerto Vallarta is very Americanized. You are going to see Blockbuster, Wal-Mart, Starbucks, blah blah blah. BUT go to downtown where the little shops are that was fun. Go do a Dolphin swim here. So much fun. Don't do a tour that only says encounter it must say swim or it is only like going to Sea-world.

In Mazatlan you should go see the cool divers. The jump off high rocks doing tricks into the ocean. That was cool. I think they were called the Papantla Flyers. And if you like Shrinp go to the shrimp Market. YUMMY! So good.

Mexican cruise in the summer?

what is there to do on the vision of the seas (royal carribbean) for a 7 day cruise to cabo, mazatlan, and puerto

Answer :
It depends on your price range and what you like to do. I recommend going on 'Shore Excursions.' They normally have 10 - 15 different options for each port you go to. Read through and see what interests you. If you go onto the RCCL website they will show you what options you have.

Your other option is to go on your own. Each port is used to the cruise ships full of people coming. They have dozens of shops with in walking distance of the ship and you can always just go sit on the nearest beach. I do warn you the ones closest to the ship are often crowded, dirty, and normally you can't go in the water.

One key thing to remember is do not drink water when off the ship. This includes frozen drinks (yes, margaritas) and anything with ice. Don't risk getting sick. Also any price in mexico is negotiable, this includes the taxi rides if you take one.

Each ship has plenty to do. Rock-climbing wall, Themed bars and lounges, Casino Royale, shopping, Indoor /outdoor pool, 6 whirlpools, Adventure Ocean® youth facilities, Day Spa and Fitness Center.

Every night they have shows you can go see and through out the day they have silly little games you can go and play. My favorite part was laying on the deck in the sun and with the ship moving you have an amazing breeze over you.

Oh, one last thing watch out for drink prices. And if you are going to try and smuggle alcohol onboard do not put it in a cary-on as those bags are more carefully checked then the ones you have taken to your room.

Hope this helps. Have Fun!!

I have been on 15 cruises on four different cruise lines, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess and Norwegian. I cannot possibly list all of the ships and the best of each.

I have cruise to the eastern and western Caribbean multiple times, to the souther Caribbean twice, to the panama canal, to Alaska, to the Mediterranean and to the Baltic countries.

My favorite cruise line is Royal Caribbean and my favorite ships are their Radiance class ships which include the Jewel of the Seas (been on that one), the Brilliance of the Seas (been on that one), the Radiance of the Seas (going on that one next yr) and Serenade of the Seas. I have been on RC's new mega ship the Freedom of the Seas and will go on the new NCL ship the Gem this year.

I need help with choosing a cruise?

hey all my family and i (10 ppl) r booking a cruise we want to go to mexico were debating on holland america oosterdam or royal caribbean vision of the seas were trying to see what is a better ship to have more fun on good entertainment for children with all ages and adults and senior citezins over all better prices and ship!
-thanks!

Answer :
Holland America tends to be a lot older crowd. Royal Caribbean, while catering to an older crowd than Carnival, have many activities that are geared toward a younger group (like the rock walls and water slides)

Answer :
I disagree with the first respondent. I've been on 4 Holland America cruises, 3 to the Caribbean and 1 to Alaska and 1 cruise on Royal Caribbean. There's plenty to do for kids on Holland America, they have a HAL teen club and innumerable activities for all ages. Holland America does not have a disproportionate number of seniors, it does however have fewer of the single, loud, partying types. I find Holland America to be equal to or better than Royal Caribbean in terms of service, cuisine and clientele. While you will enjoy the cruise on either ship, do check out the ports of call, and the prices, and make your choice accordingly.

Answer :
for kids, princess is not good, either Royal careabean, a lots of senior there, since it's little fancy both of them most people are seniors!! I am speaking on experience, try Carnaval Cruise ship, they cheapest and most people young and kids, that's my advice! good luck it's so much fun!

Answer :
Go with Royal Caribbean. Holland America has a lot more seniors on it and not a lot for kids to do. Also consider Princess too. They have a little of everything, but Royal Caribbean is a very good cruise line if you are interested in that one.

Answer :
Holland America (Oosterdam) is a vista class ship which was voted number 1 for kids last year. They are a full five star ship so they tend to have a large senior crowd as well. The other ship I would reccomend going out of L.A. is the Sapphire Princess.

Answer :
for kids, princess is nice, royal carribean is nice for kids too.
holland america typically has a more reserved experience. NOt too much for kids there.

have a wonderful time.

Answer :
Go Princess or Royal Caribbean. They're the BEST! Holland America is mostly just adults. If you go Princess or Royal Caribbean, everyone will have a great time.

Answer :
remember that cruises over charge on drinks!!

you should def take some flasks! and sneak in alcohol cuz the drinks are so expensive i've used www.floridaflasks.com, it works

Would you like to comment on my Poem?

The Wail And Cry

Angels hear the wail and cry
Of lonely spirits when they die.
One more heartache, too much pain;
One last struggle to rise again.

Burdened down by life’s heavy sword;
crushed to death, they cry to the Lord
thru stinging sorrow, from weary souls.
They conjur visions of dead sea scrolls

Lost and buried beneath the sands,
In unknown places and foreign lands.
Such treasures hidden, but not forever,
Also wait for death’s last measure,
. . . of everlasting peace.

Answer :
read over and over to find words, that you don't need in their, like this, lost, buried beneath sands, unknown places, foreign lands, treasures not forever hidden, also deaths measures, peace lasting ever

Bubba Boo you get the 10 points because you actually said something worth considering that might be helpful to me in this piece.
Thanks!

How many generations have ruined Neptune's ideal relationship?

I think it has been the entire Judeo-Christian world.

Neptune was the patron God of homosexuals, and I feel we need to step back to our true Greek religious roots as Americans; not the silly Christian poser.

How can we fix relationships in line with the Lord of the Land and Sea's vision?

Answer :
Probably about 50 generations.

For cruisers who have traveled with small kids...?

Do you recommend the Carnival Pride or the Royal Caribbean's Vision of the Seas? Our kids are 3 (girl) and 8 (boy). Also, it's for a 7 night Mexican Riviera Cruise in August. Please help if you have experience, thanks.

Answer :
For the most part Royal Caribbean and Carnival are very similar. That said there are some differences.

Is your daughter potty trained? If not, go with Carnival. Carnival will change diapers.

The Carnival Pride has a water slide while the Vision of the Seas has a rock climbing wall. Which would you son enjoy more?

The Vision spends one day at sea, then goes to Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta before spending two days at sea returning to San Pedro.

The Pride spends two days at sea, then goes to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo before spending one day at sea returning to Long Beach.

Of the two, I prefer having the two days at sea at the end rather than at the beginning.

The Vision has one main pool with a fenced off area of the main pool acting as the kids pool.

The Pride has two main pools (one of which can be covered if the weather is bad) and a separate kids pool. Thus the Pride has a better pool set up, in my opinion, for your family.

Otherwise the experience on both ships will be similar. Your kids will have fun in the children's program on either ship. In my opinion you can't go wrong with either ship.

Answer :
Both are nice ships. The kids seem to think "Camp Carnival" is better than RCI's program, but both are OK.

In general, RCI is a bit more "polished" and Carnival is a bit more "fun".

That said, the decor on Carnival Pride can be a little ... risque. (There's a Renaissance art theme.) You might want to check out these pictures and decide if you and/or your 8 year old would feel uncomfortable:
http://www.cruisesavvy.com/journals/eric…

Oh, and although neither of these is a "mega" ship, both are around 2,500 guests. So you might want to get walkie-talkies to stay in touch around the ship.

Answer :
We have been taking our son on cruises since he was 7, and he is now 17, and he loves going on carnival. He enjoys cruises more than any other kind of vacation. He can't wait until the meeting for the camps or kids club, or teen clubs, to find out what he will be doing. Then, we usually would only see him for meals. He always made a lot of friends and had a great time. They divide them up in groups by age. We never took him on RC because we heard they limit the amount of kids on their ships. My husband and I did go on one of their ships last year and weren't as impressed. We are sticking to Carnival. I am sure you will have a good time whichever you decide. Check out Carnival's website for activites for kids. I don't think you will be disappointed. Have fun.

Answer :
I found the best travel with kids was with NCL and their 'free style' cruiising..Do what you want, when you want. Thet have lots of children's activities, and equipment and great assistants, supervisors.. Dress casual anytime, no 'scheduled' meals, excellent service.

Answer :
When I was little I went on a Carnival cruise with my family 2x. This cruise is really fun because they have water slides and a club for kids and teens. And I heard now that they have surfing. Another cruise I would recommend would be the Disney Cruises. Have fun!

Answer :
Both are nice for families. Royal is more "brass and glass" Carnival is more "vegas style". Both have good kids clubs, Royal often has in cabin babysitting for the evening.

Answer :
The Vision is a nicer ship. Both have fairly good kids programs. I've found Carnival to be more party ships but RC is a better line.

Cruise to Mexico. . .anything I should know?

Everyone says not to drink the water while on shore but is there anything else?

(Going on Royal Caribbean - Vision of the Seas)

Answer :
If a guy wanna stuff a tamale in ya be sure to have a rain coat.

Answer :
learn the currency exchange rate. jew down the price on everything. don't call any locals a beaner. don't bother washing your hands.

Answer :
Remember to take your passport. You will most likely not be allowed to board the ship without it. You will need it to get back into the US.

Also, pack your sense of adventure, you sense of the beautiful, and your sense of humor. They'll all come in handy in Mexico. Everything else is just "stuff."

Answer :
lets see ive gone to mexico a couple times and this is what i have learned:
don't drink the water
bring Tylonal(sp?), the water will be in something you eat at sometime and you may get sick
if someone is begging, ignore them
ride the pretty horses on the beach if you like to ride, but dont touch the stray dogs, even if they follow you
if possible see some ruins, they are awesome
Bring lots and lots of suncreen
Bring a good book to read on the beach

Answer :
they have bottle there and beer have fun good times there nice people you won't spend much time on the beach , shore that is

Answer :
don't get near the edges because they won't go back for you they will only throw a life saver at you and that's it

Answer :
If u r ever along the beach walking around b careful of jellyfish along the shore they r very poisonous u will b in a lot of pain if stepped on.

Answer :
The cruise! Yes the cruise is awesome and don't drink on shore and keep a wallet around your waist and don't carry a bag. Have fun and stay with someone the entire time!

Answer :
Yea dont drink the water..
they dont clean it very well.
just buy bottle water... when i went to cancun thats what we did...
have a great vacation by the way!!! :)

Answer :
Yeah, don't do anything naive and stupid like wandering off by yourself at night. Watch your drink, and ask the folks on the cruise line about what bars and clubs to stay away from on shore. Mexico is an extremely dangerous place.. especially for white women..

Answer :
It's not that their water is bad or germ infested, it's that we clean our water a lot better than they do and our bodies aren't used to their water. So.. I wouldn't drink the water. That's about it.

Answer :
If you plan to stay in Mexico is that if you eat too many tacos or burritos or enchilads.... ur going to be on the toilet seat for a longgggggggg time

Answer :
When I went I only ate and drank on the ship, if going ashore bring a couple of bottles of water and snacks. You will be approached by people trying to sell you everything, keep only small bills in your pocket so you can take out one at a time instead of showing a wad of cash. If you take a taxi anywhere be sure it is one of the bigger companies, not just some guy that says he'll take you where your going. Always be on guard you are in a foreign country although they are very friendly. Have fun.

Mermaid Group: Placed on a different Ship?

I recently started a 3rd contract as a chef with the Mermaid Group. They said that my new ship would be The Legend of the seas which was doing The Taiwan - China Trip. I prepared for this by buying some expensive books and doing a lot of research and i also had a friend i had arranged to visit but 2 weeks before it was changed to the Vision of the seas cruising around south america. I am very dissapointed as i had made arrangements. They said it was down to the client and not them.I was wondering how many other people this has happened to?

Answer :
As I understand it from friends, companies can and do make last-minute changes in ship assignments, and even though it is not done a lot, there is nothing the crew members can do about it and keep their jobs.

Answer :
I am going on is the Saga Ruby. This is a cruise ship for elderly people. (No offence!) but i was told that the actual hiring company had most of their salons on Carnival which is a ship which has younger passengers so i assumed i would be going with them. But now i'm on a Saga Ship Also i will not be in the Carribean now i will be in Turkey and around those islands. This was also the Mermaid Group

Anyone going on Visions of the Sea on June 29th?

I am just trying to get an average age group attending to see if it will be suitable for a 20 and 22 year to have fun with people in the same age group.

Answer :
Go to the Cruise Critic "roll call" board to connect with others on your trip. (Registration required)

Answer :
Remember that when you're on this "cruise" you're in international waters and OUR laws don't apply,be very leary of the "crew" they are the "scourge-of-the-seven-seas" and are the "dangerous" ones on board,( most are hard-core criminals) and they take advantage of
"weak and not-knowing" people, especially young ones. They will go into your rooms and rip you off of everything you brought on-board and your money!!and if you catch them in the act you will be tossed overboard to drown. This happens all the time on these "cruise ships" It doesn't get reported because the "media" doesn't travel aboard these ships and because of international marine laws, you don't have a "Snowball's-chance-in-Hell" for a recourse should something happen to you or your friends.

Has anyone been on the Royal Caribbean: Visions of the Seas cruise. If so how was it?

Im going on this cruise next month and is soo excited and cannot wait! I did some of my research and it seems so fun! I have been on cruises before and this would be my 3rd time. I'm 14 yrs. old and i saw that the ship has this teen club. If any of you have been in that club, how was it? i also saw that it has rock climbing and im siked about that! So if you can give me some tips of what i should do when i am there and maybe what i should pack. Please and Thank You!!

Answer :

Do you know about Cruising the Mexican Riviera?

My husband and I are taking our first ever cruise in March 07. We haven't received package from travel agent yet so we don't know what to expect. Any suggestions for us? What are fun things to do on board (we're cruising Royal Caribbean's Vision of the Sea)? What land excursions do you recommend for the over weight - fairly non-active type? Our stops include Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto vallarta. How warm will it really be in March? Do we need to bring dressy clothes for dinners etc.? What about medicine in case one of us gets sea sick? Oh...so many questions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Answer :
Each cruiseline answers almost every question you asked on their websites under FAQS

However here goes:

1. On board - the ships have almost everything you can think of...pools and cruise director-led on deck games; spas; saunas; massages; gyms; Vegas type reviews; other live entertainment; casinos; 24x7 eating; shopping; auctions; libraries; nightclubs...you name it they have it.

2. Land excursions - shore excursions will appear online also and each is coded with an icon that shows you the difficulty of physical endurance of each...there are always nice mixes of things to do for the less active - air cond. tour buses, shopping excursions, etc

3. It will be just like summer

4. You will need to take at least one, maybe two [depending on length of your cruise] 'formal'/cocktail type wear for those designated nights on board in the formal dining room. Other nights you can wear anything except shorts and jeans in the formal dining room.

You can wear whatever in other restaurants

5. Cruise ships have medical treatment faciilties and a doctor with aides for sea sickness...but you probably won't need it..today's liners feel like they are barely moving.

My advice...? READ YOUR DOCUMENTS, and go online to RC's webpage.

Answer :
While each ship has an on-board gift shop with various items, I suggest you take any of your regular over-the-counter meds you normally take. Just in case, buy a few packages of Dramamine.

Pack two weeks worth of meds. Put half in your luggage and the other half in your carry on bag. Make sure they are in the percription bottles.

Take sunscreen and sunburn relief meds, too! Temps will run from 63 to 81 in March.

Take one or two of those XXL Ziploc baggies to store yucky, sandy clothes.

There are two formal dinners that are optional. You will see everything from long evening gowns to spring sun dresses on those nights. Formal nights are optional attendance but that is usually the night they serve the surf and turf dinner. Other nights, sun dresses, skirts, even capris. Just no shorts in the dining room. However, there is a casual buffet style resturant if you don't want to get dressed up.

Be sure to take a supply of cash in US Dollars. $5 and 10s are great for the markets and taxis. There is a neat market in Puerto Vallarta. Expect to pay full price in the brick and mortar shops along the dock.

Be aware of the "extra" costs. Tips are not really optional The cruise line will charge you account for the tips the moment you step on board. Drinks at the bar can run $4-12 each, $35 bucks for a bingo card, $10-20 bucks a sheet for the on board photos.

Don't book any return flights home too early. Disembarkation can take a while.

Have a good time.

Answer :
I believe that Acapulco is also one of your stops. Take an excursion that includes the cliff divers. It is amazing.

Just take some of the ship excursions that are tours of the cities. You will be on air conditioned busses. Things like the ATV tours and zip-line tours would not be your best bet nor would the horseback riding tours.

Yes, you should have dressy clothes for dinner. Royal Caribbean has the Free-Style, I believe, which is a lousy way to take a cruise. People show up for dinner in jeans, shorts, tee shirts, and looking like slobs. Opt to look nice.

Have your doctor prescribe the Trans-Scope patch for seasickness. Chances are you will not need it. The patch goes in back of your ear and does cause some dry mouth and sleepiness. Go to the drugstore and take along a package of Imodium just in case you get the "Aztec Two-Step".

You will have a very nice time but it is too bad you are going on Royal Caribbean. You should have chosen Celebrity. They are the best line.

Answer :
My husband and I are going on a Mexican Riviera cruise in May and I'm so excited! This will be my third cruise!
Our cruise is going to Cabo, PV and Mazatlan too. There are a bunch of excursions that are easy for all levels of activity. Just look for the symbol on the Royal Caribbean website.
As far as on the boat....there will be an activites list laid out on your bed at night for the following day. TONS of things to do....just pick!
March should be really beautiful! I would bet 80-85!
You will want to bring two nice outfits for the formal nights but I wouldn't get totally decked out. A majority of people are in business-casual attire but then there are some who will surprise you with ball gowns!
I would bring some medication just in case. I've never had a problem but a lot of people do and I've heard that the waters are a little more rough in the Pacific. I've only cruised in the Caribbean.
You should check out www.cruisesritic.com
They will have a ton of information.

Answer :
i been on that ship. on cabo take the land end tour and the eat at the office. you have to take the cab but it not lot of money, and in maz there all sorts. in pueta vallarta. take the city tour that was great and there two formal night. o and the crew people are nice name john and kristin blair the really people. o in puerto vallarta the be mine flea market buye the ship. it a good stuff . you can bargin with them get cheap good stuff.

Answer :
We don't take the excursions, too expensive and you can find plenty to do out side of the innitial shopping area at the docks. Yes bring nice clothes. Yes bring sea sick medicine, hard to find on shore if you don't have it with you.

Answer :
We went on the cruise for the Mexican Rivera 2 times . We went on Carnival and Holland America. Carnival was terrible (food was good) but Holland was wonderful but the food was just OK. I loved the stops and would go again if I could afford it!!!
In Cabo I went snorkeling and it was beautiful. My family went whale watching. The friends we made did not go on an excursions they shopped until they dropped.

In Mazatlan we went on a tour of the bird estuary and wildlife sanctuary.
In Puerto Vallarta we went on a picnic and shopping had a blast

You be sure to have as much fun as we did!

Answer :
The three ports you metioned, we enjoyed very much. I hated Acapulco. So dirty. You should take atleast one formal and one or two other dressy clothes. They sell medicine onboard, in the event that someone is seasick. Also, there is a doctor.
Check out www.cruisecritic.com for more advice.
I do have to say (and I am not trying to freak you out) Check your bedding as soon as you get to your stateroom. We have cruised over 10 times. Our last cruise (oct 06 out of NYC) our stateroom was infested with bed bugs. We did not find out until day two, at sea. Just be an educated traveler and it may save you alot of problems. If you want to know what to look for, here is a link:
http://www.uky.edu/Ag/Entomology/entfact…

Answer :
First, I thought I'd get sick, but after the first dinner, you'll get used to it!
Cruises have formal nights, I'm pretty sure you don't have to dress up, but with hundreds of people around you dressed up like it's prom, you might feel out of place.

Shore excursions:

We did the Deer Island Kayaking in Mazatlan. Kayaking was interesting cuz not everyone, well hardly anyone knew how to kayak. But after the kayaking we just got to sit on the beach of this island and relax!

we couldn't really do anything worthwhile in Cabo since we were there for a short time, we just looked at shops and walked around.

Puerto Vallarta we did the ATV thing, and didn't schedule it on the boat so it was an adventure to say the least. But there is a place there, in downtown across from a statue of a man riding a seahorse. It's a restaurant above a shop. They have the best TO DIE FOR shrimp you'll ever eat.
A place in Mazatlan has awesome seafood too. In their main shopping district, it's an outside restaurant, awesome food!

Other than that, I went with my boyfriend (that was my first cruise). We got a balcony room, took lots of naps with the door open, relaxed on deck and enjoyed the time off, which was awesome. We went on another cruise ( with family) and spent most of the time doing stuff, excursions, etc. I have to say I had more fun just relaxing and doing nothing on the first cruise than being busy on the 2nd!

What are some good things to do and see in Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta?

We are cruising on Royal Caribbean Vision of the Seas, December 08. We're mom, dad, and 19 yr old daughter. We tend to like outdoor activities ... not so into shopping, but daughter may want to do a little. Nature, culture, and ancient ruins would be of interest too.

Any first hand recommendations of things/places to do ... or to avoid? Good places to book through?

We'll be in Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Va

Additional Details

Sorry, when I edited, this got posted twice -
Not into hanging out drinking.

We'll be in Cabo, Mazatlan, & Puerto Vallarta. Anyone know how easy it is to get around once in port?

One activity that looks like a lot of fun is the Outdoor Adventure in PV, it's a boat ride, then jeep, then burro ride to area where you then zip line, rapel water falls, etc. Has anyone done this? If we do this, it's the only activity we'd have time for ... is it worth the time/cost?

It looks like it's possible to take a public water taxi to stone island, but also lots of tours ... is it best to do a tour, or on your own? Once at Stone Island, how busy/crowded is it? Is it a worthwhile place to spend some time?

We're also considering snorkeling, parasailing in Cabo. Maybe horseback riding in Mazatlan. Would like to find some onshore excursions & activities away from crowds.

Would especially like to hear from anyone with first hand experience of fun excursions, activities, &/or places to go/see

Answer :
Click the link below and check out the top two things on that list for PV:
the Canopy Tours de Los Veranos and
the Wildlife Connection
I think you'll enjoy those--you don't say how long you'll be staying each place.
Not many ruins in any of those places. Next year plan a cruise to the Yucatan peninsula--many more ruins there.

Answer :
I would just take off on my own and see what i find. Planned tours suck you only see what they want you to. Cabo is the best, go to Cabo Wabo, When we were there we got to sit and drink with Sammy Hagar (too cool). I really don't like Mazatlan that much, but the ships that are docked there are rather nice and some nice places to eat (like that's what you want to do) Just cruise around and see what you find, take your camera and have a great time.

Is this any good?

is this any good for storytelling in my class??
i'm a freshman in highschool by the way......

David and Paul lay down on the wooden floor of the rocking ship, listening to the sound of the waves and the blow of the wind. “I am so bored. There’s no TV, no internet and no signal here! What am I supposed to do for the next 15 days? Just lie here and wait for myself to die because of boredom?!” complained Paul. “Stop being so dramatic” said David, “Besides, this ship is over 5 centuries old, there’s bound to be something interesting to discover. Come on, let’s look for dad and ask him what we could do.” said David helping his twin brother stand.

David and Paul’s father, or Dr.Gordon, worked for National Geographic. He made documentaries about old means of transportation. Early this year, he was offered to make a special documentary about Santiago- a ship that has survived for more than 5 centuries. He accepted the offer and brought his two sons, David and Paul, along with him.

“Dad! Do you know if we could do anything around here? We’re bored and there’s nothing interesting in this ship!” said Paul. “Hmmmmm, how about exploring the captain’s quarters? How does that sound?” replied Dr.Gordon, “Sounds great Dad! Thanks!” shouted David as he and Paul ran towards the other end of the ship.

“It sure is dusty here” said David as he browsed through old books in the captain’s quarters. “Well, what did you expect David? This isn’t a cruise if you haven’t notice” snapped Paul. David didn’t seem to mind his brother’s angry reply; instead he just concentrated on an old book that he found. “Hey what’s that?” asked Paul. “It’s a diary of someone named Paolo Lopez, and it’s from the 1520s!! Come on, let’s read it!” said David excitedly. “Wait a minute! I think we should Dad check this out first. You know, there might be some deadly bacteria in this” replied Paul looking afraid. “Come on Paul! It’s only a book! It can’t possibly kill us!” said David rolling his eyes. Then, David opened the book and they both read it eagerly.

Thursday, November 19, 1520
6:00 a.m.
I woke up early. I had a breakfast of powdered biscuits this morning as well as water that tasted like hell. Oh how I wish the scrumptious food in the land. But lo, this is the life I chose, and I shall take the benefits and consequences this life has to give me.
After, I went to the bunks of my fellow shipmates. I visited my friend Jose. His swollen gums are getting worse everyday. I tell him the weather conditions of today- bright and clear like the last 20 days we stayed here in the Pacific. After, he falls asleep.

11:00 a.m.
I helped Pedro and Antonio clean the deck. As I mop the floor, I think about the uncharted islands that we could discover in the future – their vast beauty, untouched land and the animals there as wild as the stormy sea. Visions stream in my head and excitement floods through my body.

5:00 p.m.
Jose is clearly dying. I watch him in his deathbed lying down. I pray for him the rosary.
After praying, I check his pulse and with no surprise, it is not beating. I pray again and pay him respects. I will always remember the times we shared manning the desk. He was a good sailor and friend. Other sailors visit him and pray. I go out the room with sorrow in my heart.

9:00
As I get ready for bed, I see the captain looking at the bright and countless stars to find our direction in the Pacific. I pray again for the soul of Jose and fall asleep to the swishing of the Pacific waves.

“Go! Turn to the next page!” said Paul impatiently. David did so obediently. “Hey there’s nothing in here! There’s supposed to be entries of storms, mermaids and pirate attacks! Where are they?” said David as he scanned the blank pages of the diary. “You’ve been watching too many pirate movies David. Maybe you need to stop, at least for a while” replied Paul. David glared at him.

“Hey, what’s that?” said Paul pointing to a yellowish piece of paper sticking out of the diary. “Hmmmm, it looks kind of like a map” replied David as he was examining the piece of paper. “Wait. What’s that? It looks like an X. Yeah! It’s a map with an X! And that means it’s a treasure map! Whoopee! We’re rich!” exclaimed Paul jumping around the room. “Get real Paul. Like you said, we’ve just watched too many pirate movies. Come on, let’s ask Dad what it’s about” replied David. “Alright, but if there really is a treasure, I get most of it ok?” asked Paul. “Whatever you say Paul” replied David walking out of the room with his twin brother not knowing they were holding the map of one of the most valuable treasures in history.

I'm planning a cruise from LA to mexico on royal caribbean-can anyone give me some insite on this cruise ship

vision of the seas,,, and can anyone recommend any good booking sites for the best prices? and if we decide to stay one day in LA where is a good cheap clean place to stay one night?

thanks---we're planning to go in August, or September

Answer :
Royal Caribbean requires that all of its agents advertise the same price. If Royal Caribbean finds out an agency is advertising a price that is lower than Royal Caribbean's published price (not the brochure price - which is higher, but the price Royal Caribbean is offering the cruise for) then Royal Caribbean may terminate the agency agreement.

Here is the agent I use, and I think he is the greatest ...

Have any of you cruised on the carnival pride ship or?

the royal caribbean vision of the seas? Are they nice boats or are they old and outdated?

Answer :
I was on the pride in March and loved it, Having been on many Carnival ships its is one of my favorites and we look forward to being on her again. They upgrade and refit ships periodically so not to worry. Like the above poster I have been on RCL's Sovereign of the Seas and it was worse than horrible ( I actually think I heard they were selling it off within the year) but the Vision is newer I think. The food and service was better on Carnival so they win hands downs for my cruise business

Answer :
I have been on the Carnival Pride, as well as a couple other Carnival ships. They are all really nice. The staterooms on each Carnival ship that I've been on look pretty much the same. Every now and then you MIGHT find a bathroom in a stateroom that may need a little cosmetic work. As for the rest of the ship, everything is really nice. The staff is always on top of things. They are constantly cleaning and are very accommodating to your needs. If you check their website you can click on link for the Pride and do a virtual tour.

I've been on one Royal Caribbean ship, The Monarch of the Seas and it was absolutely horrible! I can't speak for the entire fleet, but this ship was old. The staterooms are much smaller than Carnival's. The bathrooms in the rooms also really small. Small enough that every time we would lift our arms to wash, we'd hit it on something.

Opinions Please For My Lyrics?

I was a little bored, it’s not complete since I would probably add a chorus or cross segment

Forget the past dedicated to MS

I came through the battle of love from the past,
Through passages of time captured forever
Let me ride on the clouds so fast
I want to hold you forever
Free the emotions of a heart
Seas and oceans apart
Let me forget the past

Across the deep blue seas visions of desire
Healed through endeavour
Dreams of you take me higher
I want to hold you forever
Brace the lost soul and broken heart
Chase the last goal and awoken new start
Let me forget the past

Over minarets and steeples across the desert sand
Close my eyes and think of you wherever
Spiritually to reach out my hand
I want to hold you forever
Find me inside your heart
Remind me we will never be apart
Let me forget the past

Answer :
I really love the words.. How beautiful ... Very touching.. To forget the past and move on to a new love, that will carry you through the pain. Till there is pain no more.

Thank you so much for all the kind replies. I didn’t think it was a sad song, but we shall see I will get someone to sing this to music also. I know I can write much better with more time. Thanks for all the kind words.

Answer :
Only a soul that has suffered a broken a heart can write such sad lyrics because they know the pain of losing a beautiful illusion, because love goes beyond time, distance and death.

Answer :
I like it! I really do!
You seam to be a very sensitive young man.
Watch it!

Answer :
I LOVE IT
VERY SWEET
I KNO HOW U FEEL
TRUST ME
I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR IT WITH A BEAT

I have found a key and would like to retrn it to its owner?

key name or make is sea-vision...as far as i can tell security key for something... it has micro chip in it to and as far as i can tell its called a restricted key so key cutting is out of the question...so i must be rather impotant...dont you think.... top is yellow plastic casing with grey logo seavision...long flat key has infomation on one side of it....1080//60278 then further along the key it has blaser basel 1111..... plz help me with this strange situation thx...email me andy_hoo27@yahoo.co.uk

Answer :
I dont think there is a key company called Sea Vision, maybe the key belongs to Sea Vision, depends where you found it. There is a company called Sea Vision. you could call them and ask if they have lost a key??

Answer :
Yeah I'm with Fred Bear on this. I moved house in March and a medal from Iraq arrived for the previous tenant and I took it to the police station. Not sure what they would do with a key though. Where did you find it? Can you put a note in a local shop window or anything?

Answer :
Any key has an identity this may sound illogical but,if you for instance took it to a reputable key cutter they have a list of what is what so you could in effect find out what/where it belongs to then obviously the police leaving your details. It may have something to do with oil rigs but I am only surmising .

Answer :
See if the info. on the key means anything to your local Post Office. Usually info. on a key is so it can be returned to the owner.

Answer :
If it has micro chip in it then hand it in to you're local police, they will be able to trace the owner.

Answer :
try researching the info on the key on the Internet to find out about sea vision then contact them to see if they can help or just hand it in to the police station

Answer :
Contact M.I.5. and standby for fireworks.
It could be something of national importance?

Library on royal caribbean visions of the seas?

im 14 and wondering if they would have books for my age? i dont want to buy books from where im at if they have a library on the ship, so im just wondering. thanks

and they have a good collection of books?

thanks again=]

Answer :
My friend has been on visions of the sea's and there is a library. I don't think that there will be many books for your age. The books are mostly for older people. If you want to read on the cruise then you should bring your own books. I went to the library on a different ship and there werent any books that I liked. There isn't much of a selection and the library was always empty. The books in the library are old. I don't think that you will find any books that you like.

Have fun on your cruise=]

Answer :
I have not been on the Vision but I have been on many RC ships among the many cruises I have been on and my experience is the libraries are VERY limited. The libraries are very small and they do not have a large selection of books or a large variety. They are NOT like your public libraries at home or school. The libraries are typically nice places to sit and have some quiet and you may find some thing to read. But you would do better to take a book or two with you rather than count on the ships library to have what you want.

Sicknesses aboard vision of the seas cruise ship?

include illnesses that would quarantine

Answer :
Unless you are going across the ATlantic or Pacific the cruise ship will probably not move enough for you to get seasick. Most of the time you will not even know you are moving. In addition, the ships tend to move from port to port while you are asleep and dock first thing in the morning (there are some exception). Cruise ships are built these days with stabilizers that minimize movement and ships will steer away from bad weather. On our last cruie the ship actually changed ports because of bad weather but we hardly noticed the weather.

The biggest problem on ships is people getting sick from intestinal contamination that a passenger brings onship. Many of the cruise lines that I have been on now have a santiary hand washer that they request everyione to use as they enter the ship and as they come back to ship in ports. They also have these at the entrances to all of the dining areas. And, most people use them. We always carry our own small bottles of the sanitizer, just in case. We have been on a dozen cruises and never been infected with this. You just have to be vigilent.

Answer :
Nope, the Vision is completely safe, as it only sails to Alaska and Mexico, two of the safer cruising destinations. Nothing to worry about, except for possibly some unsafe situations in Mexico. The ship itself is clean, and any illnesses would be taken care of by the ship's medical staff.

Who was on Royal Caribbean The Vision of the Seas from July 20-27?

Oh em gee it's Emily! This is to all the awesome people who I met at the teen club! I missed the fricken email exchange and I wanna hit you all up with some emails! :)

So... whoever went on Royal Caribbean's The Vision of the Seas from July 20-27 on the Mexican Rivera cruise to Cabo, Mazathlan, and Puerta Vierta (spelling? lol) please post here!

By the way I am the blonde that was with my three cousins and little bro!

Answer :
Hey. I've been to teen clubs on cruises too. If you want to find someone, maybe try looking on cruise critic. There most likely won't be much much teens on there but you can check. Im 16 and I use cruise critic ofter. There are several other teens on there too. Maybe you can find them there. Maybe some of there parents use cruisecritic too and then you can contact them. I hope you had a lot of fun on your cruise.

Here's the exact roll call for your cruise. If you are not signed up on cruise critic, then you can't view it. You should register because its free. To register, you will have to fill out a application online, then pick your username.

http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthrea…

If you can't get onto that roll call, then after signing up, go to..

1. boards (at the top)
2. Roll Call-Royal Caribbean "Meet and Mingle"
3. Then click on vision of the sea's.
4. Then find July 20th. Its there. You can talk to them and see if there were any people in the teen club.

I hope that you are able to contact any of them=]

Royal Carribean - Vision of the Seas?

I will be going on my first cruise this summer to mexico and was wonder if any one has been on this ship (Vision of the Seas)

Any relevant Infomation will be much welcomed

Also will the rooms have any supplies (shampoo, soap, etc) as hotel rooms do?

Thank You!!!

Answer :
Vision-class ships are lovely vessels -- beautifully designed and full of light. That said, this ship is older (built 1998) and not as big and feature-packed as the newer Voyager- and Freedom-class ships.

Vision of the Seas is a pretty comfortable size, carrying just 2,000 guests. Which means you will get to know some of crew members, and can actually find people without walkie-talkies. =)

In terms of features, Vision has a rock climbing wall, as well as the "usual" cruise ship stuff -- a spa and fitness center, a swimming pool, a nightclub, a bunch of bars/lounges, a formal restaurant, a casual restaurant, a show lounge, etc. (No steakhouse or ice skating rinks, though.)

RCI ships always have shampoo, soap, and a hair dryer. You might want to bring your own conditioner, though.

Since this is your first cruise you might want to check out this Introduction to Cruises, which covers stuff like how to avoid getting sea sick, and what a typical day is like:
http://www.cruisesavvy.com/savvyguide/in…

You might also like the Know Before You Go guide, which includes a packing checklist, advice on how to stay healthy, etc:
http://www.cruisesavvy.com/savvyguide/kn…

Have a great trip!

p.s. If you'd like to share your stories and pictures from your cruise, I'm sure a lot of people would love to check them out. Anyone can get a free Cruise Journal at:
http://www.cruisesavvy.com/journals

Answer :
I have not been on the Vision but you can take a look at all of its features at this web site:

http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruis…

Here are some tips on what to take. The dress on ship is casual all day until 6:00PM. So take:
- swim wear,
-shorts,
-sandals,
-beach shoes,
-your snorkel equipment if you have it,
-sun glasses and sun screen, lotions,
-a cap or big hat for the sun,
-a book if you are a reader,
-your music player,
-sneakers and clothes to workout in if you like to use the gym, -good walking shoes,
-your camera, and
-other personal toiletries.

Your cabin will have towels and soap provided, including pool and beach towels. It will also have a generic hair shampoo so you do not need to bring that unless you like a specific brand. They do not provide tooth paste, mouth wash or lotions. They DO provide a hair dryer.

After 6:00 PM they request that you wear "sports or resort casual" attire. That's attire that you would expect a person to wear in a business office, (like a bank employee), shirt with a collar, slacks, skirt, blouse, etc. You can still wear shorts and swim wear in the pools and spas but not in public areas like dining rooms and restaurants, show rooms, bars, casino, etc. Don't over pack because you will likely spend most of every day in shorts and/or swim wear. Take clothes that you can mix and match tops and bottoms and plan to wear each piece twice.

Your cruise will have a formal night when you can wear your best stuff and get pictures taken, and maybe meet the ship’s Captain. The formal nights are REQUESTED not required attire. You will not be denied entry to the main dining room if you decide not to dress up, as long as you are at least sports casual. But most people do dress up.

- Its best to pack using soft-sided luggage because with space limited in your cabin it fits under the beds better if its not hard sided luggage.

-Take a small carry-on bag for the last night of the cruise. On the last evening you will be required to put your luggage outside your cabin by about 2:00 AM so that they can start taking it down to the lower deck for offloading the next morning. So you will need a small bag for your toiletries and your clothes that you sleep in.

- If you are taking your cell phone, MP3 player or other item that needs to be plugged in take an extension cord as the plugs in the cabin are generally not in the best places and there are usually only one or two.

- Take a small bottle of hand sanitizer. There are generally sanitizer dispensers at the entrances of restaurants, the buffets and dining room, but some times the are not there or not working. The sanitizer helps prevent the spread of the Norwalk Virus that sometimes occur on cruise ships.

Answer :
I have not been on that ship but one like it. I find cruising to be the greatest expereince of all times. You just have to see for yourself. they are wonderful! and yes they do supply your basic items.

What is the best Royal Caribbean ship to travel on?

Out of all the ships (ie: freedom of the seas, adventure of the seas, majesty of the seas, jewel of the seas, vision of the seas, enchantment of the seas, etc.) which is the best one for a family with a 16 year old and two 13 year olds? The different groups of ships are:

- Freedom Family
- Voyager Family
- Sovereign Family
- Vision Family
- Radiance Familiy

Answer :
FREEDOM SHIPS! They have everything all the other ships have plus more! They have a GREAT teen program! You really should go Freedom, Liberty or Independence! They are the biggest and best!

Answer :
majesty of the seas by far. I have a 13 yr old and a 9 yr old and a 17 yr old daughter and they had so much fun. I liked it cause Mom and Dad could do their thing and this way the kids had fun and not a dull boring time sitting around. The have so many programs for the kids like dancing, Video games, Internet cafe. And they have rock climbing. Hope this helps

Answer :
The Liberty of the Seas is the biggest in RC's fleet as of now, and holds about 4,600 passengers.
The Independence of the Seas will begin sailing in May, 2008 and will be even bigger with about 6,600 passengers.

The Libery and Independence are in the Freedom family.

I just got back a week ago from a 7-night western Caribbean cruise on the Liberty of the Seas and there is a TON of activities for pretty much every age group!

Answer :
The best Royal Caribbean ships for teenagers are the two newest Voyager class ships (the Navigator of the Seas and the Mariner of the Seas) and the three Freedom class ships (the Freedom, Liberty and Independence of the Seas - the Independence will begin sailing later this year).

The reason these five ships are the best for teens is that they have an expanded teen center. This includes the Living Room, which is a place for teens to hang out, Fuel, which is a teen disco, complete with a soft drink bar and an expanded deck area just for the teens.

Other than that, the main difference between the two newer Voyager class ships and the Freedom class ships is that the Freedom class is a little bigger (by about 15%), the Freedom class has a Flowrider (a surfing simulator) while the Voyager class ships have an inline skating track and the Freedom class ships have a miniature water park called the H2O Zone, which the Voyager class ships do not have.

Otherwise they all have an ice skating rink, a Johnny Rockets, a rock climbing wall (though the one on the Freedom class ships is bigger) a miniature golf course, a video arcade, two pools and a full sized basketball court.

Answer :
You MUST go on the Freedom Class. Soooo much for kids/teens to do as well as adults, great itineraries (Western and Eastern Caribbean-do a back to back!) and the FlowRider is a MUST!

Enjoy your Freedom Class Cruise!

Answer :
Absolutely the Freedom family, which includes the Freedom of the Seas; it's so far one of the newest RCI ship and the biggest cruise in the world. So long that if you take the Eiffel Tower and lay it sideways, the ship will be even longer; so tall that it is higher than 2 Statues of Liberty; and so heavy that it takes about 3,600 elephants! Not that I've been on a cruise, but I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO… want to!!!!!

Answer :
I am 13 and have been on 3 cruises-2 of them were Royal Caribbean....we went on Enchantment and Mariner....we are probably going on Liberty or Freedom this summer. Mariner of the Seas was pretty cool. I would probably say either Freedom or Liberty though because they are the biggest and newest ships in the line. Have fun though.

Answer :
Absolutely Freedom of the seas and Radiance of the seas. They are some of the newest ships from RC, and have more options for teens. ( discos, pools, arcades, etc.)
