Unless you are going across the ATlantic or Pacific the cruise ship will probably not move enough for you to get seasick. Most of the time you will not even know you are moving. In addition, the ships tend to move from port to port while you are asleep and dock first thing in the morning (there are some exception). Cruise ships are built these days with stabilizers that minimize movement and ships will steer away from bad weather. On our last cruie the ship actually changed ports because of bad weather but we hardly noticed the weather.

The biggest problem on ships is people getting sick from intestinal contamination that a passenger brings onship. Many of the cruise lines that I have been on now have a santiary hand washer that they request everyione to use as they enter the ship and as they come back to ship in ports. They also have these at the entrances to all of the dining areas. And, most people use them. We always carry our own small bottles of the sanitizer, just in case. We have been on a dozen cruises and never been infected with this. You just have to be vigilent.

Nope, the Vision is completely safe, as it only sails to Alaska and Mexico, two of the safer cruising destinations. Nothing to worry about, except for possibly some unsafe situations in Mexico. The ship itself is clean, and any illnesses would be taken care of by the ship's medical staff.

Hey. I've been to teen clubs on cruises too. If you want to find someone, maybe try looking on cruise critic. There most likely won't be much much teens on there but you can check. Im 16 and I use cruise critic ofter. There are several other teens on there too. Maybe you can find them there. Maybe some of there parents use cruisecritic too and then you can contact them. I hope you had a lot of fun on your cruise.

Royal Carribean - Vision of the Seas?

I will be going on my first cruise this summer to mexico and was wonder if any one has been on this ship (Vision of the Seas)

Any relevant Infomation will be much welcomed

Also will the rooms have any supplies (shampoo, soap, etc) as hotel rooms do?

Vision-class ships are lovely vessels -- beautifully designed and full of light. That said, this ship is older (built 1998) and not as big and feature-packed as the newer Voyager- and Freedom-class ships.

Vision of the Seas is a pretty comfortable size, carrying just 2,000 guests. Which means you will get to know some of crew members, and can actually find people without walkie-talkies. =)

In terms of features, Vision has a rock climbing wall, as well as the "usual" cruise ship stuff -- a spa and fitness center, a swimming pool, a nightclub, a bunch of bars/lounges, a formal restaurant, a casual restaurant, a show lounge, etc. (No steakhouse or ice skating rinks, though.)

RCI ships always have shampoo, soap, and a hair dryer. You might want to bring your own conditioner, though.

Here are some tips on what to take. The dress on ship is casual all day until 6:00PM. So take:
- swim wear,
-shorts,
-sandals,
-beach shoes,
-your snorkel equipment if you have it,
-sun glasses and sun screen, lotions,
-a cap or big hat for the sun,
-a book if you are a reader,
-your music player,
-sneakers and clothes to workout in if you like to use the gym, -good walking shoes,
-your camera, and
-other personal toiletries.

Your cabin will have towels and soap provided, including pool and beach towels. It will also have a generic hair shampoo so you do not need to bring that unless you like a specific brand. They do not provide tooth paste, mouth wash or lotions. They DO provide a hair dryer.

After 6:00 PM they request that you wear "sports or resort casual" attire. That's attire that you would expect a person to wear in a business office, (like a bank employee), shirt with a collar, slacks, skirt, blouse, etc. You can still wear shorts and swim wear in the pools and spas but not in public areas like dining rooms and restaurants, show rooms, bars, casino, etc. Don't over pack because you will likely spend most of every day in shorts and/or swim wear. Take clothes that you can mix and match tops and bottoms and plan to wear each piece twice.

Your cruise will have a formal night when you can wear your best stuff and get pictures taken, and maybe meet the ship’s Captain. The formal nights are REQUESTED not required attire. You will not be denied entry to the main dining room if you decide not to dress up, as long as you are at least sports casual. But most people do dress up.

- Its best to pack using soft-sided luggage because with space limited in your cabin it fits under the beds better if its not hard sided luggage.

-Take a small carry-on bag for the last night of the cruise. On the last evening you will be required to put your luggage outside your cabin by about 2:00 AM so that they can start taking it down to the lower deck for offloading the next morning. So you will need a small bag for your toiletries and your clothes that you sleep in.

- If you are taking your cell phone, MP3 player or other item that needs to be plugged in take an extension cord as the plugs in the cabin are generally not in the best places and there are usually only one or two.

- Take a small bottle of hand sanitizer. There are generally sanitizer dispensers at the entrances of restaurants, the buffets and dining room, but some times the are not there or not working. The sanitizer helps prevent the spread of the Norwalk Virus that sometimes occur on cruise ships.

I have not been on that ship but one like it. I find cruising to be the greatest expereince of all times. You just have to see for yourself. they are wonderful! and yes they do supply your basic items.
