Should i stop talking to him?!?!?!?

My mom and i went on this cruise, vision of the seas to be exact. There was this assistant waitor and we were flirting non-stop.. I saw him 3 times everyday. He is also 13 years older than i am. I really like this guy but he is from India and im not sure if he has an arranged marriage already. After we left the cruise i gave him my email and within the next 3-4 days he emailed me back. He is sending me mixed signals. I dont know if he likes me like that or just as his email buddy. We've been emailng ever since and its been like a month. I dont know if i should stop talking to him. Its just he is 13 years older than i am and he's from india. I reallly like him!! It just feels kinda weird sometimes talking to a guy thats 13 yrs older than u are. please help me.........

It does not sound like this relationship will make it very far. There isn't any harm in being pen-pals through email. But I think you have a better chance of finding love in the real world.

I would say continue talking to him if you want to, but don't hold back on any other guys. Keep dating if you find someone you enjoy being with. Maybe after a while things will progress with your Indian friend instead.

I suggest to take it easy and see where life takes you.

For now, don't give you friend too much personal information. It IS kind of suspicious that a man thirteen years older than you, who was serving on your cruise, is interested in you romantically. Be careful!

It really depends how old YOU are...

If you're a minor, then I suggest you stop talking to him, especially if he's saying inappropriate things to you.

If you're an adult, then it's really up to your best judgement. If you think there's potential and you want to go through with it, then keep talking to him. But if you think there's nothing in your future with him, then you can phase him out. Talk to him less and less until you stop all together.


This whole situation seems a bit creepy, though, from my point of view. e_e

My Grandparents are 13 yrs apart and the most inlove couple I have EVER seen. they are soooo super cute together. One, though: how old are you? If you are under 18.... this could be kinda bad. You could always just ask him how he feels about you, though. e-mail is a lot easier to do that sort of stuff in than in person.
